Lauren Oliveira, APC
Lauren is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who works with children, adults, and couples. She specializes in treating trauma and PTSD, including developmental and attachment-related trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, and life stressors. She has particular interest and experience working with the lasting impact of adverse childhood experiences, relational wounds, and attachment disruptions across the lifespan.
Lauren understands that many of the struggles people face today have roots in experiences of disconnection, hurt, or unmet emotional needs. She is passionate about helping clients make sense of experiences that may have once felt overwhelming, confusing, or isolating. Approaching therapy with curiosity, authenticity, and compassion, Lauren creates a space where clients can explore their stories, deepen emotional understanding, and develop more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. She believes healing occurs through experiences of safety, authenticity, and connection, fostering greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and lasting change.
Lauren integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, mindfulness, expressive arts, and Child-Centered Play Therapy techniques into her therapeutic framework. She has completed specialized training in play therapy approaches and is currently pursuing credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist.
Lauren has also completed AEDP Level 1 training, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Levels 1 and 2, and specialized Gottman Method Couples trainings focused on treating trauma, affairs and betrayal recovery, and addiction within relationships. She is also certified in the trauma-informed group therapy approaches, Seeking Safety and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). Lauren tailors these evidence-based approaches to thoughtfully adapt treatment to each client’s goals, strengths, and lived experiences to support meaningful and lasting change.
Lauren is currently practicing under the supervision of Alzirene Faubion, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S.
