I believe some of our deepest pain—and some of our greatest healing—happens within relationships. My greatest desire as a therapist is to create a place where people experience healing, couples rediscover connection, and families grow stronger. Whether I am working with an individual, couple, or family, I believe meaningful change begins when we feel safe enough to understand ourselves more deeply and risk connecting with others in new ways.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Partner, and Clinical Director of Discovery Compass, our specialty center for couples and families in Newnan, Georgia. I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing relationship difficulties, marital distress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and PTSD, family conflict, and significant life transitions. I also provide premarital counseling and marriage enrichment for couples who want to strengthen their relationship before problems become overwhelming.
Working with couples is one of my greatest passions. I often meet couples who love one another deeply but have become trapped in painful patterns of conflict, defensiveness, distance, or disconnection. Over time, the same arguments happen again and again, each person feels increasingly misunderstood, and attempts to protect themselves can unintentionally push their partner farther away.
My work with couples is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach that helps us look beneath the argument to understand what is really happening between two people. Together, we identify the negative cycles that have taken over the relationship and explore the fears, hurts, longings, and protective responses underneath them. The goal is not simply to communicate better or argue less. It is to help partners become more emotionally accessible and responsive to one another so they can rebuild trust, experience greater emotional safety, and create a deeper, more secure connection.
I also work with couples navigating complex pain, trauma, betrayal, and difficult seasons within their relationships, creating a compassionate space where both partners can move beyond blame and defensiveness toward greater vulnerability and understanding. For couples preparing for marriage, I incorporate PREPARE/ENRICH to help partners better understand one another, identify strengths and potential areas of growth, and intentionally build a strong foundation for their marriage.
In my individual work with teens and adults, I use Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an attachment-focused and experiential approach grounded in the belief that we are not meant to face our deepest pain alone. AEDP focuses on “undoing aloneness” by helping clients process difficult emotions and experiences within the safety of a supportive therapeutic relationship. Through this work, I help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and more secure ways of relating to themselves and the people they love.
Therapy begins with meeting you where you are. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free relationship where you can be honest about what hurts, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and discover new possibilities for yourself and your relationships. Whether you are seeking healing individually, longing to reconnect with your partner, or trying to strengthen your family, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you move toward greater wholeness, connection, and hope.
My vision as Clinical Director extends beyond my own therapy room. As an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor, I am deeply passionate about developing the next generation of therapists and creating a clinical community equipped to compassionately navigate the complexity of human pain and suffering. I train and mentor master’s-level clinicians, helping them develop not only strong clinical skills, but also the relational wisdom, curiosity, and empathy necessary to do meaningful therapeutic work.
