Niké Dixon, LMSW
Niké is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She completed her Master of Social Work with a clinical specialization at Columbia University. She also holds a Master of Science in Social and Cultural Psychology from the London School of Economics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Practice in Psychological Wellbeing from the University of Surrey, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Windsor, and a diploma in Community Justice Services from Niagara College.
Her interdisciplinary education and professional experiences across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States have shaped her understanding of how individual experiences, relationships, cultural contexts, and environments influence identity, mental health, and overall well-being. She provides therapy to adolescents, adults, and professionals navigating personal and professional challenges. She has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, identity development, and professional stressors including burnout and imposter syndrome.
Her clinical background spans community mental health, behavioral health, justice-related practice, and evidence-based psychological intervention across Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, where she has supported individuals with diverse mental health needs and life experiences. She utilizes an integrative, person-centered approach tailored to each client’s individual needs, values, and goals. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and narrative frameworks,
strengths-based and trauma-informed practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed principles to support clients in developing insight, coping strategies, and meaningful change.
Niké is committed to creating a space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity, honesty, and compassion. She recognizes that the ways we understand ourselves, relate to others, and move through life are shaped by our experiences and environments, both past and present. Through this understanding, clients can gain greater clarity about themselves, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward a future that feels meaningful and aligned with their values.
