Kennedy Holmes is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of West Georgia and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Kennedy’s passion for counseling began during her time as a pharmacy technician in college, where she found joy in connecting with patients and hearing their personal stories. This experience inspired her to pursue a career focused on helping others through empathy, understanding, and genuine connection.
Kennedy utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness practices. She believes that therapy should be a collaborative process that honors each client’s individuality, strengths, and goals. She has experience working with children and adolescents in the legal system, particularly those involved with juvenile probation. She is also passionate about expanding her work to include adults, couples, and families. Her professional interests include multicultural advocacy and learning about the diverse experiences and needs of various communities.
Kennedy’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: most people who seek counseling just need someone to truly listen and provide a safe space to talk. She strives to offer that space—one filled with compassion, authenticity, and hope.
Kennedy is practicing under the supervision of Noelle Porter, LPC, CPCS.
